Hello there! My name is Kara Haupt and I Just Might Explode is my personal blog. I blog about my life, art school, the things I make and sell online, music, and how to live an ever evolving creative life.
I live in a little apartment overlooking the city lights in Portland, Oregon with my childhood best friend, Steph, our kickass bestie Kanda, and a kitty named Pip Luke-Haupt.
I’m 21 years and a blogger, designer/design student, and photographer. I create online scrapbooking, art journaling, and photography classes for my appropriately named site, Classes Kara Made. I’m a photographer, available for hire, in the Portland, OR area. I also take photos when I’m visiting Boise. You are very welcome to ask me when I’m there next so I can take your picture. You can see my portfolio on my website and follow my work on Facebook!
Back story: I’ve grew up in Boise, Idaho and then moved to Brooklyn, New York for art school in 2010. You can read about some of those adventures here. I then changed my mind and decided to take off a semester of school and move to Portland, Oregon with my best friend at the beginning of 2012. I’m a firm believer that evolving and changing your mind and following your dreams is the best way to live. I currently go to an art school for Communication Design. I like feminism, Starbucks’ iced coffee (no sweetener!), Jonathan Safran-Foer, and Netflix. I started being creative as a teenager when I scrapbooked and worked for various scrapbooking design teams then switched my focus to photography and then now to design. It’s been a fun ride.
I am also the designer behind decalLOVE, a whimsical Etsy shop full of home decor decals.
