Polaroids By The Sea

Ocean Polaroids

When my grandpa gave me my grandmother’s supplies, he left me to go through her studio. While there, I came across a ziplock bag of old polaroid photos my grandma had taken. Some of them were dated in the late 80s. They are from different places, mostly Oregon or Montana. I think she had taken them for composition ideas and inspiration and the ones I am sharing today are all of the Oregon coast (I think). I think I’m going to frame my favorites. Beauty…

    These are beautiful.

The posts are so timely, as sadly I just lost my grandmother yesterday, so I can really understand the importance of having found these to cherish in your own life now she is gone.

She had such a beautiful way of capturing life, and the atmosphere around her.

Am glad to hear you are going to frame some of these beautiful pieces of work :)

Hi! I just wanted to say that those pictures your grandmother took are awesome. Sincerly, I would totally do frame one of them! I think my favorite one is the last one, with the bird!

I grew up in California and thought that those beaches were the prettiest I’d seen, but now that I’ve lived in Oregon for a few years, I must say. The Oregon coast is quite a beautiful sight. Love these photos.

Such sweet memories to hold onto, and how special that they relate to your life now as they once did hers. A wonderful symbol of life’s circular tendencies. I hope you do frame them. Beautiful.

Beautiful photos. Isn’t it fun to wonder what was going through her mind when taking them? What was the weather like? Who was with her? Etc…
