Logo Story

July 11, 2011

If you’ve noticed the sidebars on my portfolio site and on here, you’ll have seen my pretty new logo. It was created by Norah Stone, a friend of Kip’s from MCAD. I was a fan of Norah’s illustration work and I was delighted when she agreed to a custom portrait to use in my logo. She’s a talented graphic designer and I’d encourage you to check out her site.

Some of Norah’s work:

It was really fun to work through beginning sketches to the final one. It was based on  this picture and the name headband is like my favorite thing in the world.

Norah also created the frame and I love the subtle texture it adds. I’m turning these into business cards too(I’m thinking square?)!

If you’re looking for custom portraits or other branding and graphic design work, feel free to contact Norah.

Thanks again, lady!
